How it works
A clear path from questions to filing.
You keep running your business. We guide the return through preparation, review, and filing—with clear next steps along the way.
Start with a fit check
Answer a few questions about your business, records, and S-corp status. The result is a preliminary guide to your next step; it is not a quote or an agreement to prepare your return.
Talk with us and get document instructions
Contact us to discuss your situation. We’ll explain what to provide and how to share your records through an appropriate secure process. The fit check does not send us your answers.
Let us review the records
We look at your prior return, if available, and current financial information, along with relevant payroll and ownership details. First-year businesses may not have a prior return. We’ll discuss what is available and anything that needs a closer look.
Confirm scope and price
Before preparation begins, we confirm the work involved and the price. If records need additional work or your situation falls outside the proposed scope, we discuss that with you first.
Agree to the engagement and begin preparation
Once the engagement is in place and we have the necessary information, we prepare your Form 1120-S and the filings included in the agreed scope.
Resolve questions and review the return
We follow up on missing information or items that need clarification. A real tax professional reviews the return before it goes to you for approval.
Review, approve, and sign
You review the prepared return, ask any remaining questions, and provide the required approval and signatures. Agreeing to the engagement alone does not authorize e-filing.
E-file and receive your copies
After your approval and required signatures, we e-file the agreed returns and provide completed copies. We’ll communicate any filing issues that need attention.
What to have ready
- Your prior S-corporation return, if available.
- Your current income statement and balance sheet.
- Relevant payroll information and details of ownership or shareholder changes.
No prior return yet? That is something to discuss, not a reason to stop here. You do not need to upload anything to use the fit check.
